So I Made A Met Gala Bingo For You :)

The First Monday in May is upon us, girl your loins!

The first cherry blossom of the spring has fallen and the day of the Met Gala has arrived. The most important day in fashion is extra special this year with the historic theme of “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style”. I actually wrote one of my very first Substack pieces on how excited I was for this theme when it was announced in October.

My friends and I are having a viewing party where we will channel our inner Joan Rivers for the night and judge every couture look from the comfort of the couch. It’s so special to have grown up watching the E! Red Carpet coverage for these to now only being a subway ride away from the glamour. I can’t wait to be there one day, whether that’s as a guest, a server or being a part of an Ocean’s 8 style heist. I’ll do anything to see Rihanna, okay? I’ve been lucky to attend every Fashion Institute exhibit since I moved to New York and can’t wait to tell you guys all about this latest one after I go!

One thing about me is that I LOVE a game and another thing is that I’m a weapon with using Canva. So naturally, I made a Met Gala bingo for us all to enjoy! It’s full of exciting things to look out for from designers, trends, the inevitable snafus and of course iconic references. I can’t wait to hear everyone’s takes and just relish seeing black excellence getting it’s proper respect in fashion history. This is going to be a good one.
